A lively documentary dramedy about how the fight against alcoholism turns into a race of creativity. Bringing order to a village is no easy task. Rifmir has only just become the head of a rural municipality in Bashkortostan, yet he is already fielding hundreds of calls a day from concerned residents. Almost everything needs fixing, but the budget is running dry. Looking for a solution, he decides to enter the Sober Village competition, held across the republic since 2011. To win the substantial cash prize, participating villages must reduce alcohol consumption and prove that community life has far more to offer than drinking. What unfolds is a true superhero story, as Rifmir finds himself battling much more than alcoholism.
