Don’t let the film’s title deceive you. “The EP” by Barrett Lesly Shuler and Keth Roenke is not a narrative about making music and the making of bands, but according to the filmmakers, it’s a film that digs deep into rebuilding broken friendships and dreams, and dealing with unresolved trauma. The film tells the story of how 20 years after a tragedy tore them apart, two high school bandmates decide to reunite and track down their lost EP in hopes to reignite the rock and roll life they’ve always dreamed of.
