"A contemporary and engaging reinterpretation of the past."16 May 2026Drama6 mins
The short film "Um Andar do Cortiço" (One Floor of the Tenement) is a reinterpretation of the classic play "A Streetcar Named Desire" by playwright Tennessee Williams. Using colloquial language and addressing the dilemmas of contemporary urban life, "Um Andar do Cortiço" proposes a compelling role reversal to delve into the intensity of a suffocating relationship. Between conflicting feelings, manipulation, and abuse, the short film exposes the thin line between affection and modern tragedy.
