Sadiq Uliyil revisits the history of the legal struggle and solidarity that emerged for Zakariya’s release, a native of Parappanangadi who has spent 17 years in prison as an undertrial. As the trial continues to drag on, the film captures the silent suffering endured by a man and his family, particularly his mother, and the unbearable burden of waiting.
