The Travels of Ibn Jubayr Trailer (2026)

26 March 2026

A short film reimagines the 12th-century pilgrimage of one of history’s greatest explorers. Inspired an 800-year-old Andalusian text that describes the titular traveler’s pilgrimage to Mecca (1183 - 1185), The Travels of Ibn Jubayr blends incisive wit with richly textured imagery to illuminate the political, social, and cultural landscapes of the medieval Islamic world and their echoes today.
