Born in 1988, Alexandr Zolotukhin studied directing at Kabardino-Balkarian State University under Alexander Sokurov’s supervision. His short film, Nerovnaya strochka (2014), was screened in Locarno as a part of the Programma Speciale Sokurov. Alexandr's first feature film A Russian Youth just premiered in the Forum section of the 2019 Berlinale.
