During World War II, Haas directed films for the Army Signal Corps. In the 1950s, he directed low-budget films and numerous television episodes for series such as Bonanza, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Outer Limits, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Haas's versatility and ability to work across different formats made him a respected figure in the industry.
