Dilip Shankar is known for introducing new exceptional talent as a Casting Director, his casting credits include Ang Lee's Life of Pi.
Dilip is an actor and director in the Delhi theatre scene.
As an actor, he is known for essaying a variety of roles - Cassio in Roysten Abel's award winning William Shakespeare's Othello-a play in black & white, Raju Guide in Sanjoy Roy's adaptation of R. K. Narayan's Guide, Jawaharlal Nehru in Pramila Le Hunte's Nehru-His Inner Story.
He has worked with directors B. V. Karanth, Anamika Haksar, Abhilash Pillai, Bertina Johnson.
A theatre director of note on the Delhi theatre scene, he has directed a number of plays, and has written 36 plays so far.
