Dmitry Mass was born in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR. Education VGIK (1979), workshop of professor R.N. Ilyin. Leningrad Documentary Film Studio 1979-1989. Lenfilm Studio since 1989. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia. Member of R.G.C. in IMAGO. Fluent in English, Latvian, photography, video shooting. While working at the Leningrad Documentary Film Studio as a documentary cameraman, he shot more than 30 short and full-length documentaries. Member of the Russian Television Academy since 2004. Cinematographer-director of the Lenfilm Studio, St. Petersburg.
