Ela Thier's features films are: FOREIGN LETTERS (writer-director-producer), sponsored by B&H Photo and distributed by Film Movement (2012). PUNCTURE (co-writer), a legal drama starring Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Captain America). The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released by Millenium Films (2011). THE WEDDING COW (writer), is a romantic comedy produced and released by Sudwestrundfunk, a major German TV network. The film won eighteen international awards including four Best Feature and four Audience Choice awards (2000). She is currently in post-production on THE GREAT DESPAIR, a science fiction comedy sponsored by B&H Photo, to be released later this year.   Thier wrote, produced and directed over a dozen short films winning numerous Best Short awards and recognitions world-wide. She was one of the ten nominees for the White House Project Emerging Artist Award (2010), is a NYFA fellowship receipient in screenwriting/playwrighting (2008), and her scripts were selected four consecutive times by the IFP's Independent Film Week (2005-2009). -- from Ela Thier's website
