The real name is Oleksandr Teliuk. Elias Parvulesco it is a creative pseudonym. He was born in Ukraine in 1985. Studied engineering (Kyiv University of Economics and Transport Technology, 2002-2007), contemporary art (Course of Art, an educational project of Method Fund, 2014-2015) and film studies (Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University, 2016-2018). Co-founder and editor of Cineticle, a web journal on auteur cinema (2010-2015). He is a film history researcher and programmer at the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre in Kyiv (2015-) and co-founder of the film union ‘ruїns collective’ (2017-).
