Enya is an Irish singer, songwriter, musician and producer, born Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland. She studied classical music at college and under private tuition. Her professional music career began at 18 when she joined members of her family in the band Clannad in 1980. She left after two years to pursue a successful solo career.
