Flávia Castro (15 of August of 1965, Porto Alegre) is a Brazilian filmmaker.
At the age of five, she had to leave the country with his parents, exiled by the military regime. She lived in Chile, Argentina, Belgium and France, returning to Brazil in 1979 with Amnesty. Still in France worked as scriptwriter and assistant of direction. She made his directorial debut with the short film Each with His Every Qual (2006). Her first feature, Diário de una Busca, received the award for best documentary at the 2010 Rio Festival. She also directed one of the episodes of A Aula Vazia, a project coordinated by Gael García Bernal. Her fictional debut 'Deslembro' premiered at Venice Film Festival.
