François Damiens, né le 17 janvier 1973 à Uccle, en Belgique est un humoriste et acteur belge.
François Damiens a fait des études de commerce international. Il a fait son stage de 4 mois en Australie, et s'est lancé par la suite dans le milieu de l'audiovisuel. Passionné par les canulars et les sketches depuis l'enfance, il aborde ce domaine par hasard. Il se voit proposer par un ami de mettre en scène des caméras cachées. Dans un premier temps François Damiens a commencé sa carrière avec Wassil Zaki en participant à des séries de caméras cachées destinées à être diffusées dans des avions. Il a ensuite connu une grande célébrité avec son personnage de François L'embrouille qu'il utilise dans des caméras cachées, plus élaborées, pour RTL-TVI, dans le cadre de l'émission "si c'était vous", dès 2000 où il épaule puis remplace Jean-Michel Zecca, également animateur de l'émission. Jouissant d'une très grande popularité en Belgique où il doit arrêter ses caméras cachées en 2004 car il ne peut évoluer sans être reconnu, il tourne ensuite ses caméras cachées en France à partir de 2004. Il jouit progressivement en France et en Suisse d'une grande reconnaissance grâce à la diffusion de ses caméras cachées sur Canal+ et via internet. Il lui est désormais impossible de se déguiser sans être reconnu. Le 2 décembre 2008, il déclare "Ça devient impossible. Je vais devoir, malgré moi, arrêter les caméras." Il débute une carrière au cinéma en 2006 grâce à Eric et Ramzy, qui lui font rencontrer Michel Hazanavicius qui prépareOSS 117 : Le Caire, nid d'espions. Il enchaîne les rôles, principalement dans les comédies à succès, dont notamment dans Dikkenek pour son rôle de Claudy. Son rôle de Simon Wolberg dans La Famille Wolberg, en 2008, lui permet de changer de registre et de montrer son talent. En 2010, il est le héros de la campagne de pub des "Pringles Xtreme" en France, mais surtout, il est nommé au César du meilleur acteur dans un second rôle pour le rôle de Marc dans L'Arnacœur. Il ne remportera pas le précieux trophée mais alimentera la soirée par un passage remarqué. En 2011 il tient son tout premier rôle principal au côté de Pascale Arbillot dans Une Pure Affaire. Un rôle comique et dramatique à la fois. En décembre 2011 sort le film La Délicatesse où il tient un second rôle aux côtés de Audrey Tautou, un drame sentimental tiré du roman du même nom. Il déclare par ailleurs ne pas aimer voir des films au cinéma et ne regarde même pas les siens. Il préfère le contact avec les gens. Il est trilingue, outre le français, sa langue maternelle, il parle le néerlandais et l'anglais.
