Gérard Hernandez, né le 20 janvier 1933 à Valladolid (en Espagne ), est un acteur espagnol naturalisé français en 1975. Il est célèbre pour ses moustaches et pour sa voix qu'il a prêtée à nombre de personnages de dessins animés, notamment Gonzo dans Le Muppet Show, le Professeur Moriarty dans la plupart des épisodes de la série animée Sherlock Holmes de Hayao Miyazaki, ainsi que le Grand Schtroumpf et le Schtroumpf Grognon dans ledessin animé et Les Schtroumpfs, le film ou plus récemment Iznogoud.
Gérard Hernandez commence sa carrière comme bibliothécaire. Il apparaît sur le grand écran pour la première fois dans La Meilleure Part d'Yves Allégret dans le rôle d'un ouvrier espagnol qui ne maîtrise pas le français. Il s'est spécialisé dans les seconds rôles. Il est notamment célèbre pour son tandem avec Jean-Pierre Marielle face àPhilippe Noiret dans Coup de torchon de Bertrand Tavernier en 1981. Très populaire à la télévision dans les années 1970 et 1980, il est un invité régulier des émissions Les Jeux de 20 heures sur FR3 et L'Académie des neuf sur Antenne 2. Il a également animé le jeu télévisé Les affaires sont les affaires sur Canal+ au milieu des années 1980. Il a également mené une riche carrière dans le théâtre de boulevard. Depuis 2002, il joue le rôle récurrent du commissaire Perret dans la série télévisée Père et Maire . De 2004 à 2006, il intervient dans l'émission radio présentée par Laurent Ruquier, On va s'gêner. Depuis 2009, il joue le personnage de Raymond dans la série humoristique Scènes de ménages sur M6.
