H. Perry Horton was born and raised in Sanford, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor's in Media Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University's Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. He has worked as a screenwriter, journalist, freelance arts critic, magazine editor, feature writer, blogger and podcaster.
