Hiroshi Kataoka (born 1959) is a Japanese director and television producer for NHK. Originally from Tokyo, he majored in civil engineering at university, but after experiencing show business in New York, he decided to pursue a career in film and television. He joined NHK in 1982 and has been producing and directing television series and TV movies for them since.
