He was known for Cocoon (1985), Enemy Mine (1985), Aliens (1986), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Metro (1997), I Dreamed of Africa (2000), Enemy at the Gates (2001), The Bourne Identity (2002), King Kong (2005), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), and Public Enemies (2009), among others. He died on October 17, 2020 in Redondo Beach, California, USA.
