Jovan Zivanovic was born on 20 June 1924 in Zemun, Serbia, Yugoslavia. He was a director and writer, known for I Bog stvori kafansku pevacicu (1972), Te noci (1958) and Radio Vihor zove Andjeliju (1979). He died on 11 April 2002 in Belgrade, Serbia, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
