Lidiya Bobrova is a Russian film director and screenwriter renowned for her poignant depictions of rural Russian life. She graduated from Leningrad University in 1975 with a degree in history and later pursued studies in screenwriting and directing. Bobrova's notable works include Hey, Lads and Lasses (1991), In That Land... (1998), and Babusya (2003), which earned her a special jury prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
