Lothar Herzog was born in Freiburg (Germany), grew up in Paris (France). He studied Applied Cultural Studies in Hildesheim. He was create staging performances and video installations. Later, he studied film studies in San Francisco and directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. His short films have been shown at many international festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival and the Berlinale.
