Mario González Jiménez grew up in the city of León, Guanajuato. After dropping out of film school, he participated as assistant director and editor in several film projects. His first short documentary, “Nowhere Bastards” (2018), won first place in the student documentary contest Identidad y Pertenencia, during the 21st edition of the Guanajuato International Film Festival, a special jury prize in DOQUMENTA International Documentary Film Festival and screened in several international festivals including the 25th Palm Springs International ShortFest. He is currently studying Communication and Media Studies at Universidad Iberoamericana León.
