Michal Vinik studied scriptwriting and filmmaking at Tel-Aviv University and majored as a director in the MFA program, winning two scholarships for excellence. Her first short film, "Bait", was screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009, her second short, "Blank", was presented at the 2011 Locarno Film Festival. Her feature film debut, "Barash", premiered at the 2015 San Sebastian International Film Festival. She's currently working on her second film, "Christina’s Child".
