Michel Rivard est un auteur-compositeur-interprète et créateur québécois. Membre fondateur du groupe Beau Dommage, il est, entre autres, l'auteur-compositeur de la chanson La complainte du phoque en Alaska créée avec le groupe en 1974. Il mène une carrière solo depuis 1977. Il est juge dans l'édition 2012 de l'émission Star Académie. Michel Rivard sort en 2013, un nouvel album studio nommé Roi de rien.
