Monique Mulcahy is a Creative Producer from Melbourne and a member of the 2023 Screen Producers Australia Ones To Watch cohort. Over the last decade Monique has produced a variety of live action and animated projects, and is currently the Associate Producer and Development Executive at Aunty Donna’s production company, Haven't You Done Well Productions. Monique manages a diverse slate of original comedy film, TV and online projects for HYDWP and is a part of the development team for Grouse House, Aunty Donna's secondary YouTube channel and emerging talent incubator. Having spent the last three years working in the online space, Monique has gained invaluable insights into developing IP with audience and distribution strategies at the forefront. Monique’s online credits includeThe Most Upsetting Guessing Game in the World, a Grouse House original series with over 2.1 million YouTube views across 3 seasons and has spawned a sold out live show two years running at Melbourne and Sydney International Comedy Festivals. Through the Screen Australia and Youtube program Skip Ahead 8 Monique produced the web series Fairbairn in the City, which has over 850,000 views on YouTube. Monique also produced Descent, a five-part online series funded by Screen Australia and VicScreen, which was nominated for Best Online Comedy or Drama Series at the 2025 AACTA Awards. In the traditional TV space Monique was the Post Production Producer on the ABC series Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe, and she recently produced a pilot for ABC through the 2024 Fresh Blood program, which broadcast on ABC linear channels and is available to watch now on ABC iview. In 2023 Monique founded Strange Mage– a production company focused on producing high concept, mixed media projects that are bold, funny, and weird.
