Nastia Korkia is a Germany based filmmaker of Russian origin. Having graduated in philology from the Moscow State University, she learned directing at the Moscow School of New Cinema with director Bakur Bakuradze and in Cuba at EICTV masterclass of Werner Herzog. She received her MFA in Documentary Filmmaking from DocNomads Erasmus Program delivered by a consortium of three universities in Portugal, Hungary and Belgium. Her documentary feature film "GES-2" was premiered at 78th Venice Film Festival in 2021 and her previous works were screened at DOK Leipzig, True/False, Sheffield DocFest, Metropolitan Museum, NY, among others. She directed and produced commercials for Google, TV Rain, Roche, that were nominated and awarded at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, The Webby Awards. Now develops her debut fiction film. The project was presented during When East Meet West platform at Trieste Film Festival, won two awards and was selected for a PopUp Film Residency in Paris.
