Omer Chawshin is a Kurdish theater actor born in 1942 in Sulaymaniyah. He became a member of the Sulayymaniah Acting Troupe in 1967. Because of the lack of female actors and the restrictions on female actors, he wore and played female characters from the 1960s to the late 1980s.
