Shahbranoo Sadat was born in Teheran, Iran, in 1990 and now lives and works between Copenhagen and Kabul. She is a young Afghan scriptwriter, producer and director. Her first short fiction "Vice Versa One" (2010) was selected at Directors' Fortnight in Cannes in 2011. In 2016, her first feature film "Wolf and Sheep" won the Art Cinema Award at Cannes' Directors' Fortnight. In 2019, she participates at the Cannes Film Festival with her second feature "The Orphanage".
