Shigeru Okada started to make stop motion animation with 8mm film in a movie club when he was a university student. After graduation from university, Shigeru Okada worked as system engineer, but kept making independent stop motion animation. He started to work as freelance stop motion animator at the age of 30. He animated many characters of TV programs and commercial films, and holds workshops about stop motion animation.
