Svava Tergesen is a photographer and experimental filmmaker living and working on unceded Coast Salish territories, also known as Vancouver, BC. Svava currently studies at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Cinema from McGill University. Their practice is concerned with representations of identity, the body, phenomenology and disability. Svava is a member and organizer of Experimental Media Outsiders (EMO), an emerging media artist collective for women, transgender and 2-spirit artists.
