Her debut feature length documentary The Apology (2016) has won over 15 awards internationally, including the Peabody Award (2019) and the DuPont Columbia award (2020). Hsiung also won the Peabody Futures of Media Award (2018) and a Canadian Screen Award for Best Original Digital Production for The Space We Hold (2017).
