Trim Lamba is a writer-director working in narrative based filmmaking. His first short ‘CRACKED SCREEN’ - made using Snapchat- released in 2017 to multiple prizes and worldwide recognition including longlisting for a BIFA for Best British Short; selection for the 27th Saatchi and Saatchi New Directors Showcase in Cannes Lions; and winning ‘Best Short’ prizes. ​ In 2019, CRACKED SCREEN was acquired for permanent preservation in the BFI National Archive as a groundbreaking achievement in British filmmaking; and continues to be exhibited at leading museums, galleries, and cultural institutions worldwide. ​ Trim followed this with BROKEN NEWS (2019), which premiered at the 63rd BFI London Film Festival. He also directed the BBC’s first ever Instagram-based drama series. Additionally, he was commissioned to direct the opening documentary of Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Directors’ Showcase at Cannes Lions, collaborating with Twitter, Meta and Google. ​​​​​​ Trim also works as a Creative Director in Advertising, and has worked on major global brands on culture-defining campaigns. ​​He holds BA and MA degrees in English Literature from University of Oxford and Royal Holloway, University of London. ​​​​ Trim is currently developing his first feature film with the BFI.​
