An Egyptian photographer, born on August 4, 1914. He was known as the pioneer of cinematography. He joined Studio Misr at the beginning of his work as an assistant to Mustafa Hassan. Then he traveled to the United States of America, where he obtained his degree from the University of California. He was the first photographer to learn photography in the United States academically, and filmed his first novel in 1848.
