Willy Smax is the working-name of William McLellan. As a film maker, author, artist and musician Willy has directed over one hundred music videos, fifty commercials and fifteen hours of broadcast television.
His written work includes numerous children's books, television programmes and a recently published memoir about the time he spent in a Spanish prison. Having gained a degree in fine art, he began a career as an illustrator.
More recently Willy has shown in a number of sculpture exhibitions, and as a pensioner is about to release his first music video for the self-written track, Goodbye.
