Yu Lan (1921-2020) was a Chinese film actress. Her original name was Yu Peiwen. She was born on June 3, 1921 in an intellectual family in Xiuyan County, Liaoning Province. When her mother died in 1929, Yu Lan went to live alone with his grandfather in his hometown in Shenyang. In February 1939 she joined the Communist Party of China.
She first participated in amateur performances in school, and officially engaged in literary and artistic work in March 1940, serving as an actor in the Yan'an Luyi Experimental Theater. After the war against Japanese, she arrived in Shenyang with the Northeast Cadre Corps and joined the Northeast Literary and Art Troupe No. 1.
In 1992, he was awarded the title of "Model Worker" by the Ministry of Radio, Film and Television. In 2007, he won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Golden Phoenix Award.
