The Inconvenience of Talking Moving Pictures Trailer (1908)

29 June 1908 Comedy 7 mins

Two fake thugs stage a dramatic robbery for a silent movie, causing a panicked kid to summon the police. The heavily armed cops rush in and arrest the actors, only to find out they just ruined a movie scene. Everyone has a good laugh at the station. Naturally, when real thugs pull the exact same stunt on an actual victim down the road, the police laugh it off as another film production. The officers casually stroll over to congratulate the "actors," completely oblivious to the real crime happening right under their noses!
