The Talking Bird (能言鳥) is a 1959 Hong Kong musical fantasy film directed by Bong Luk. The film was produced by Shaw Brothers and is based on the screenplay by Tin Chi Ng.
When a ship bringing a contingent of international wounded from Korea is torpedoed, three women (two nurses and a secretary) and a male journalist survive and reach a lonely island in a boat.
This is a film comprised primarily from footage shot by the exploring team of Mr. and Mrs. William Phillips, nee Bill and Eve Phillips, a minor league version of the better-known Martin and Osa Johnson.
Pazhani has two children — Chandiran and Meena. Meena is married. Chandiran loves Pankajam. His father and grandmother want him to marry a relative girl, Thangam, who is very helpful to the family.
