Vijay had a wife and baby daughter and a very happy home, however he felt he was not prosperous enough and in his search to make money he found himself under the thumb of a notorious smuggler named Shekhar. This results in Vijay becoming involved with the murder of Shekhar’s uncle, Professor Roy, who had refused to hand over a formula that the gangster planned to use for his own diabolical purposes. Vijay’s brother, Rajesh (Sanjeev Kumar), who was recently selected for service with the police department, was tasked with investigating the killing. Discovering that his brother was in with the crooks, he is forced to arrest Vijay. But with Vijay behind bars can Ramesh discover the true murderer?
