Jill Mohnhaupt is a master thief who has long been on Inspector Britta Böge’s list. Insurance agent David Assmann also wants to finally catch Jill, so he and his brother Georg plan to set a trap for her. Meanwhile, Jill has entirely different plans: she wants to steal the world’s oldest chess set.
