Alice har tröttnat på sin pålitlige men förutsägbare Bosse. Hon håller så smått på att kasta sig i armarna på en annan man. Bosse söker å sin sida tröst hos vännen John som rekommenderar sin egen metod: att antyda otrohet och låta svartsjukan rädda äktenskapet.
