Apocalypse Dreams tells the story of "Rainbow", a down on his luck stoner that returns to NYC after a spiritual retreat to Eurasia. He runs into some old friends and meets "Uma", a struggling writer who also has a weird past and has made some questionable decisions herself. Naturally, love happens, and soon enough Rainbow and Uma are on a mission to right some wrongs and hopefully get drunk or high in the process.
