1968 is a year after which an entire generation was named - a generation that is said to have fundamentally changed our society. With the cry "Under the gowns the mustiness of 1,000 years" students in the universities mobilized against rigid social structures in the Federal Republic of Germany. It was a rebellion against the established, against outdated values and for more freedom and justice. The students at the Freie Universität in Berlin were in the forefront.
