The film accompanies the politician Gregor Gysi, whose political career began in those days in the fall of 1989, who transformed himself from an eloquent lawyer to a political star. 989 - for almost 17 million GDR citizens, it was a year of boundless freedom. They made history with their courage to disobey. The Wall is suddenly open in the fall. The largest protest rally in the history of the GDR on Alexanderplatz in Berlin on November 4, a milestone in the peaceful revolution, is the starting point for stories from the last year of the GDR.
